Track Your Media Journey
Keep track of the media you consume. See how much of your life has been spent on movies, TV shows and video games.
One place for your movies, TV shows, and video games
MediaShelf is a free media tracker that brings movies, TV shows, and video games together under one library. Rate what you finish, review what you have opinions about, and discover what your friends are into. Available on the web and on iOS.
A single shelf for everything you watch and play
Movies, TV shows, and video games all live in one place. Mark what you have completed, what you are currently on, what you plan to start, what you dropped, and what is on hold.
Reviews and ratings that travel with you
Write reviews and rate on a 0–10 scale. Your reviews stay attached to the title and appear in your profile so anyone you share with can see what you thought.
Real numbers on how you spend your time
See how many hours of movies and TV shows you watched, and how much time you have spent playing video games.
Social
Follow people you know. See what they are watching, what they liked, and which titles are popular within your circle. Send messages, share lists, and get personalized recommendations based on activity in your network.
Curated lists that say something about you
Build public lists - "Best heist movies", "Games I replay every year", "Comfort shows" - and share them with a link. Lists support media from all three categories in one.
Import what you already tracked elsewhere
Connect Steam and PlayStation Network to pull in your game history automatically. Import a Letterboxd export to seed your movie shelf. Your existing watch and play history becomes part of MediaShelf without manual data entry.
How MediaShelf works
Add what you watch and play
Search for a movie, TV show, or game and add it to your shelf in one tap. Pick a status - completed, in progress, planning, on hold, or dropped - and optionally log episodes watched or hours played. Existing libraries can be seeded by importing from Letterboxd, Steam, or PlayStation Network.
Rate and review what you finish
Score titles on a 0–10 scale and write reviews with full formatting. Your library and reviews are public on your profile by default, but you can set your profile to private any time to only show your library to followers you have approved.
See your stats and what your friends are into
Your profile shows total hours watched and average rating. The home feed surfaces what is trending with the people you follow, plus personalized recommendations based on what you have rated highly.
What you can track
Everything in one library
Movies
Every theatrical release, indie, documentary, and short. Powered by The Movie Database, so the catalog is comprehensive and titles include posters, runtime, cast, crew, and release info. Log re-watches as separate entries to keep your stats accurate.
TV shows
Track per-episode progress for any series - current season and episode are saved when you mark progress. Limited series, and ongoing dramas all use the same per-episode system.
Video games
Log playtime in hours and minutes alongside your status. Link Steam or PSN to import your playtime automatically. Game data is provided by IGDB and covers every modern and retro platform.
